R13 Denim made its debut in 2009 by founder, designer, and rebellious spirit, Chris Leba.
While mastering his craft in New York, Leba took his love of UK Punk origins and combined it with his affinity for the American underground movement, thus, creating the R13 tenor.
Fast forward ten years, and the brand’s luxury basics transformed into a cultural phenomenon for the polished, yet riotous.
How did your journey with R13 begin?
"I was designing for Ralph Lauren for over 19 years, and I just reached a point where I felt like I’d come to the end of my journey. I was beginning to look for new experiences and challenges, and that’s how R13 was birthed.
R13 is still classic American sportswear, but I wanted the clothes to speak to the ‘Other America,’ the rebellious, daring, and free-thinkers of the country. It’s been ten years since I’ve dedicated myself to R13 and I’m wholeheartedly enjoying every moment."
